Coast, covered in spring by a dazzling carpet of flowers.

the East are endless miles of white sandy beaches, each with its unique
charm. The Overberg bays
see scores of Southern Right, Humpback and Brydes whales annually between
June and November, offering some of the best land based whale watching
in the world, adding a further interesting dimension and value during
the floral season.
Further
to the east, the glorious Garden
Route, famed worldwide, winds through lakes and forests, golden
beaches and mountains. Inland are the great Winelands,
with beautifully manicured vineyards stretching to the horizon. And
the wide-open spaces of the Klein Karoo are full of surprises: from
charming country towns to breathtaking mountain passes.
